    Obesity In Dogs

This one topic i guess is something that needs discussion - Obesity in Dogs. An incredibly important issue because obese dogs are at increased risk for developing serious weight related disorders such as diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, kidney disease, cancer, and more.

Welcome to the forums! Tell us about your dog. Do you have problems keeping your dog fit? Rottweilers are considered easy keepers. They need very little food to maintain their weight...and gain weight easily...very much like Labradors. They are always hungry! LOL!!

Feeding them a diet high in meat,, and low in carbs helps to keep their weight down, as does regular exercise. Pedigree is considered a poor quality food...that is very high in carbs (corn, wheat, soy, fillers) and contains very little meat. It would not a food that I would feed any dog.
