Some sweet potato I peeled, diced, & boiled to soften.

Then started mixing & adding oatmeal until it wasn't readily absorbed.

Oven at 375 for 25 minutes.

Thanks, I'll have to give this a try. You just made me hungry! :0) I don't want to be rude but I think you might have gotten a few pieces of egg shell in your mix. My wife has the same problem, when she cooks!

LOLOL My DIL was ready to pop one in her mouth when she noticed the egg shell. I started laughing and said those are for the DOGS and shell is intentional :-)

LOL My family has learned to always ask first! "Is this for the dogs, or for us?"

You can add unsweetened canned sweet potato or raw pumpkin. Both are good for the doggies. I rotate between batches. It seems they get more peanut butter taste from the crunchy peanut butter then the smooth. Another option is using something like cream of wheat rather then the oat meal as a thickener. Depending on what size you make the cookies, you will get several dozen cookies from a batch.

Buying at Dollar General the base price is $1.25 for mackeral & $2.25 for the salmon plus $1.65 for a jar of peanut butter.
