Meet Rome: 10 Week Old Rottie

    Hey y’all!

Meet Rome, he was born January 16th 2020. He is turning 10 weeks tomorrow. He weighs in at 12.5lbs/5.6kg. I’ve had him for exactly 5 weeks. He is a very energetic pup, but loves his naps, he loves tug of war and people’s attention at grocery stores. He knows a lot of commands like sit, paw, and down. He is still learning to go on a walk (he sniffs everything and cannot focus on walking yet). Enjoy these pictures of him! 🙂

    Thanks!

Welcome to the forums! Unfortunately the pictures are not showing up. Since you got your pup at 5 weeks of age (which is way too early)….please make sure to socialize
him well with other dogs, get him into a Puppy Kindergarten class. You may also have big problems with bite inhibition...these are the lessons that puppies learn with their littermates and dam when they are together till 8-9 weeks of age.

Frieda is our picture guru. Hopefully you can find the instruction she gave me for posting pictures.

    Hello and welcome!

Ditto everything BBD said. I can’t believe the breeder let pups go at five weeks

I can’t see the pictures either

Here’s the link to my thread. My post #44 has the picture loading instructions.

    https://www.rottweilersonline.com/fo...nnessee-5.html

If this doesn’t work, loading from your device, you may have to put the pictures on an outside source, such as I Cloud, Verizon Cloud, etc.

Photobucket has hit everyone in the shins with a ball bat by not allowing third party hosting anymore, unless we pay their blackmail fee of $400 or so dollars. It sure has made picture posting life difficult

anyway, I hope this helps as we love pictures

    Hi BBD and Frieda,

Thanks for the warm welcome! Rome is always out of the house and interacting with people and other dogs. He doesn’t seem to have a problem yet! He did have a bit of a biting problem but we managed to teach him that biting hand and pants is not okay. He not only buys his toys and licks hands.

Lets see if I can figure this picture thing out.
    (5weeks, 6 weeks, 7 weeks, 8 weeks, and 9 weeks).

Glad that I'm not the only one that has problems with posting pictures!
Rome is a cutie! When I made the comment about getting him into a Puppy K class...I forgot about corona canceling everything! This is a hard time to be a puppy owner with social distancing.
Be careful...and just let him see people from a distance. Do NOT allow people to be petting him....he could spread the virus to you touching his fur. Can you get a picture of him standing from the front?? To me ( I could be wrong), it looks like he is down on his pasterns, or knuckling? You may need a change of diet to fix this?

The links loaded and I can open them in your #5 & #6 post. We have to click on the photo links to get them to open.

This software is an archaic V-bulletin software. It wasn’t anymore user friendly in its inception than it is now

Yes, Rome is a cutie alright

I also wondered if he is “down on his pasterns” but I’m not near as familiar with the issue in dogs as I am in horses so I was’t sure. I also thought if might be that the camera skewed the picture

I had no idea what you were talking about until I looked up an article on a dogs pasterns lol. I really do appreciate your concern though. Rome is asleep at the moment but I found a couple photos on my phone that might be able to help.
