    Forever home

We rescued MICKEY from a bad situation about a year and a half ago.
He was left outside at 6 months old without proper housing and his health was not good do to major neglect.
It's been a rough road but now he's ready to find his forever home.
He does get very protective and has not been around kids.
He is a typical Rottie so he does like to challenge once in awhile.
He is a little over 5 and weighs about 95.
He hasn't had any formal training but he knows his basics.
HE DOES HAVE AKC PAPERS but we will not be giving them away with him.
That way I know he will not just be used to breed.
    Buying them is an option.
But for now my concern is to find the perfect home for him.
Please don't waste time if your really not looking a rottweiler.
Perfect for a trainer or someone who can dedicate time for him.
We will make a home visit before your even considered .
    Hope this is understandable.
He got a SHITTY start in life.

Welcome to the forums. I'm glad that you got Mickey out of a terrible situation. Now that you've had him for 1 1/2 years, why are you giving him away? Has he bitten anyone? He should be neutered, before he is rehomed there is NO chance of him being used for breeding. Forget about trying to sell him for adoption fee is fine. He should be up to-date on vaccinations and on heartworm medication/flea/tick also. Does Mickey have any medical problems?

Where are you located?? It would be best if you got in touch with your local Rottweiler Rescue. They will be able to either find the best home for him, or give you pointers on how to be able to keep him in your home. Maybe suggesting a trainer come for a visit for some pointers.

If he has bitten someone you must disclose it. It could be a lack of training, or just poor temperament....some things can be fixed with training...and some things can't. Give us more information on Mickey, so we can help.

He has a cute face. Good luck finding him a good home. You might try putting an ad on under Rotties to find a good home for him. I got our current two from that source.
