Birthday gift… maybe

My Zara's 2nd birthday is coming up, and I want to do something special with her again. I thought about getting her a doggy cake, but she already gets enough treats. So, I was thinking - and I don't know if this really counts as a "gift" - but I was considering how human females enjoy a spa day. In retrospect, she's a female and my girl, and I thought that since she's never been to a groomer for a professional cleaning and trimming, that might be a good gift for her. Would she like it, though? I mean, she seems to enjoy the company of strangers, and I would stay beside her if I was permitted

Do groomers allow owners to stay with their pets during the grooming process to prevent them from getting too anxious
If she has never been it might be a disaster. We took our boys and shampooed them, blew their hair dry and they quite enjoyed it. But like I said we did it ourselves at a pet store.

My mom echoed the same statement, so I emailed the company to ask and explain my situation. Now, I am waiting for their reply

I used to take Lola to the groomer. She loved it and the groomer loved her. Everyone was happy.

Now I take Lizzie to a do-it-yourself dog wash and it is pretty easy to do and it's way cheaper than the groomer. She isn't fond of the dryer, but stays on the table for it.

Most, if not all, groomers have several dogs on the schedule on any given day. Dogs are either all dropped off at a designated time before the groomer starts, or, if there are assistants, the drop offs might be staggered. Owners are generally not allowed to stay with their pets while being groomed as it is a liability issue, and there is usually no set time that your dog will be done during the day.
