I took Dallas to the vet today. She has had bloody stool and vomiting for2 days now. He did x-rays and some test. She has had a false pregancy and labor pains. His consern then went to the bloody stools. I was told she had a lot of gas in her bowls.
I could have told him that. He put her on 2 meds and if not some better in a few days we go to Univ. of Auburn for more tests. It's not parvo. He did check for that. Plus she is up-to-date on all her shots. will keep everyone up-to -date.

I was sent this link from another list.

This is not from imbreeding but the breeding of poor quality animals.Who were bred purly for the money and no thought for the welfare of the breed.Dogs who are not healthy should never be bred.I'm hoping now that Dallas is not having puppies that you will have her spayed(as there is a reason she is not ment to have puppies).

Are you sure its not parvo? I read that sometimes they will test negative, and if tested again come up positive. I dont know if it has to do with how far the virus has advanced, or what. Just something you may want to keep in mind. Did the vet give you a special diet to give her? I know they have specially formulated food that is bland and I believe partially broken down to aid with digestion. I hope your baby does okay. You will be in my thoughts.</BLOCKQUOTE>

Dallas seams to be back to her old self today. No runny, bloody stool and no vomiting. She is eating and drinking. Her eating is just a little at a time but given a few more days I hope it will be back to.

Thank you for all your prayers. And as for breeding her, after all I have gone through on this, I think not. It is just not worth the vet bills and my carter can't take it either.

Missy

I don't think this post from Ohio was one of the Hess's dogs as they do AKC register their dogs and OFA some of them, but they do let puppys go at 5 weeks and don't care much about them after they are gone. From what I hear they can talk a good talk, but their Rottweilers are nothing but money makers to them.

I called the guy I breed Dallas to, letting him know what was going on. He told me if I wanted I couls wait and breed her one of his new pups. I was told that this new Rottie female he was getting made his male look small
. The male he tryed to breed Dallas with was 5 inchs taller than her. I tryed to explain bigger is not better in this breed. Told me to let him know when I wanted a pup. I told him to keep all his pups and hung up.

Vet thinks what made Dallas so sick was her hormons(sp) being high, when there was no need for them to be. I think it was her way of telling me get me fixed.

They do that for a reason.I bred Daphney Twice, she produced one dead puppy the fisrt time.Me thinking it's the stud dogs fault breed her again (different dog) she gave me Elwood. As soon as there is a break in our showing she will be spayed. There is a reason that she only gave me one puppy.

She her self came from a litter of 9.Her mother from a litter of 8.Her grandmother from a litter of 6. and her Great grandmother for a litter of 3.I will have her checked out while they are in there to make sure there is nothing growing .

Well glad to hear she is getting back to her normal self again and good for you on deciding to get her spayed, it's obvious she just wasn't meant to have pups, sorry to say that but as much as we love them and want to have part of them live on sometimes it just doesn't go our way.

and Donna good to know that it probably wasn't them and yes I agree that their prbably in it just for the money cause I have only heard back from them once since I have gotten her from them.

We are glad to have her fix. 1 just because I never want to lose her. She was so sick, scared me right out of trying that again.
