If you live near Wilkes-Barre, Penn...you will want to get involved in this
one....

"Pit bulls are not welcome in Wilkes-Barre, Mayor Tom Leighton says.
Leighton will propose an ordinance to city council at a work session
tonight at 6 to ban pit bulls entirely from the city. Council is expected
to vote on the ordinance on first reading Thursday night at 6."

Donna , that is near Pittsburgh....I would go but I have my own council meeting tonight......

Wilkes-Barre have been having proublems with pits there . I'm not sure if there is alot of breeding going on ( I think that is happening also)but I know they have been fighting them ....it has been on my news here for some time . it's a shame when youhave a select few that do this to a dog ! and make the name it has given them ......

True but once they ban Pits rottie's are next. That's what hurts us all. I wish places like this could do a sweep. Go to every know pit they know of and do a temperment test. Look for signs of fighting, It's not fair to ban when other measures could be takin.
