Hi, Please help!


My rottie is five months old, I sent a photo to the breeder and told him I was thinking of showing him, he told me that we might need to glue his ears, is this a common thing, it's all new to me so any advice you could give would be great.

Lots of people tape ears.I massage them and that works really good.I will find a link for you on ear taping.The reason I don't tape as I feel you are altering the way they lay.I will massage a little,but not tape or glue them in place.Just my preferance.Is your breeder close enough to you that you can go over and have them do it for you?

Thanks for your reply.


This is the first time I have thought about showing and I do not want to harm or put my puppy through any pain or discomfort. the breeder lives about 35 miles from us.

It's not pain full just uncomfortable.If you could get the breeder to do it the first time then you can see what they are talking about.


Does the breeder show?What is her kennel name?

I got him from West Coast Rottweilers, his name is Angel Abril. Heard of him?

I went on his website and looked around,he seems to be pumping out alot of puppies.This female was bred at least 4 times that I can see( Ellie v't Elitehof)


He seems to be breeding and importing dogs,but he him self does not seem to put any titles on his dogs before they are bred.Lots of German style kennels do this.Just my opinion.


If you are going to even think of showing then your breeder should be helping you get ready.You need to start working your dog to prepare for the ring.
