i have a nine year old female. sometimes she will eat anything she can swallow, (small socks, grass, kid jewlery, ect.) she will then throw it up. I have talked to the vet about it. He said some dogs will do this.
The only way to stop it is not let them put it in their mouth.I also have a dog that will eat socks and then up it comes. If it's on the floor it's fair game.
I have a girlfriend that had a dog that ate everything , (had is the word here )till the dog ate a string off of a rug . They had to operate not once but twice , the dog was in the hospital I know for at least a month because she couldn't keep anything down . till she got so week that she died . It cost my friend over 3,000 for her dogthat she now does not have and blames herself for not crateing and not putting things up that she should have . This wasn't the first thing she chewed on and swallowed then threw it up , but this time she didn't throw it up ! The only thing I have found that will help is not to have socks and stuff where thay can get them . I have babied proofed my house againwith these two five month olds, no candles no stuff on my coffee table no socks on the floors, I like this one !My Kitty loved socks to but she didn't eat them she just chewed holes in them ! Just my husbands I might had
he has stinky feet.
He learned real fast again to put his stuff in the hamper with our terrible two !
