Hi everyone , I've been coming to this forum for a couple of weeks now and I would like to introduce myself officialy to everyone. I'm a owner of 4 Rotties 2 boys 2 girls. My oldest boy (Zeus )is 7 and is a rescue from a family I've know forever, they got a Divorce and niether of them could take him in thier new home so I did ! I've known this Rottie since he was born and is a gentle giant !I've had him now for 2 yrs.My next in command is ( Kitty ) she is a 4 yr. old female....... actually shes the boss of the crew ! Then there is my babies two 5 month old's( Apollo & Rhea ) I also rescued them from a breeder who didn't know what they were getting into ! I call them my terrible two ! I've owned Rotties now for 25yrs and love the breed to death. I wouldn't own another breed for anything . I've visited other forums but I think this one is the nicest one I've seen on the net ! It's informative, helpfull, and what I'veseen a nice crew of Rottie lovers like myself ......
my hats off to all !!!

The reason I named her Kitty my last female ( she pasted 4 yrs ago)always came when I called my cat but the cat didn't..... so I said my nextRotties name isgoing to be Kitty.....I do get funny looks when people ask whats you dogs name and I say Kitty . the kids always look at their parents with that HUH look
I wanted to name my little Rhea Catlynn and call her Cat .....then when people came over I could say have you met my Kitty Cat and 2 big Rotties come out
but my kids and hubby wanted a real namessince we got 2 at one time. Their no fun !!! One diet pepsi coming up .......LOL

Thanks guys for the warm welcome ! It's so nice to talk to people about our Rotts alot of people don't understand why we own our babies, they think they are all like what they pertray in the movies . big and verocious ! (well they are BIG)
Thats one thing I've try to do in my town is to let people know what gentle giants they are. I own a business and people know at any given time there might be one of my babies there with me and they don't eat people , they might get licked to death but not eaten
I have a friend that has several nursing homes and she knows my babies and she wants me to get certifed to bring them in the home , Donna can you help me out here? What do I need to do ?

You need at the least a CGC and have all your shot records to start.

Then you could get your TDI Theropy Dog International?

Then off you go.Thats all I did when I had a calm dog Now I have Daphney and she is a freak on a leash.

Thanks Donna I will check into it .....all my dogs have their shots , I make sure of that , I think I'll just do it with the little girl ( Rhea ) she is so gentle it's funny. When you pet her she melts to the ground .... we call her a rubber ducky,
I've never had one quite like her ! Is there a site I can go to to find out more and where they are?

Donna , thanks for the link ..... I'll have to wait though your pup has to be at least a yr old before you can test them. At least now I know where I have to go around here ... several places are not to far for me
thanks again for the info !!
