I have a question is the dog on photo 1 a pure rottweiler or a mix? the dog on photo 2 is the "typical" rottweiler that you usually encounter.

Hard to tell from that picture?? It could be a long haired Rottweiler or a mix? Long hair shows up once in awhile. Breeders can and do DNA testing now days to avoid the Long Hair gene. They do show up in rescue once in awhile...and those are coming from BYB breeders.
