When you measure your dog to see how big he is, where exactly do you measure from? Is it at the top of the shoulder?</BLOCKQUOTE>

Yes from the top by the shoulders to the ground.

Dallas is 22 inch at the shoulders, Blu is 24 inchs. He looks alot bigger than her. People ask me all the time how much older he is than her. I like busting there bubble and let them know she is older that him.

yeah, the females are generally smaller. The males are the ones who look like the giants LOL

Apollos mom was a pretty good size but you could still tell she was a female-big but not like the father. He was much bigger than her. Females that look like males is scary...I think females were meant to be smaller.</BLOCKQUOTE>
I had a female that was a big Rott she was our female before Kitty . Allie was her name she went about 135lbs and was all muscle ...a big block head and stocky as all get out ....everyone thought she was a male and yea she was scary
I'll have to find a pic and post it of her ....and she was the runt of the litter and ended up being one of the biggest ....

Some times the smallest ends up being the biggest.I don't know why,but it did happen in two of the litters I had.
