Ok…let’s try this again! haha
My name is Joaquin and I’m new to this forum, but not new to Rottweiler dogs.
My wife Sarah and I picked up Luna on September 14, 2020, she was just over 8 weeks old. We have worked and trained her to be a part of our family, and she has grown into the best dog I’ve ever had. Her personality is amazing, everyone in my family loves her. We also have a Black Mouth Cur (Jake) and a gray tiger cat (Leroy) and she fit right in with them!

Here she is…
This is Luna

Welcome to the forums!! She is a cutie! Nothing sweeter than a Rottie puppy. :) I hope you and your family enjoy her and she is a healthy, happy family companion for many years. One thing I would suggest is that you get pet insurance for her. Rottweilers are on the whole not the healthiest of breeds. Buying her off of Craiglist for a very low price most probably means that she did not come from an ethical breeder that does health certs on their breeding dogs. Most likely a BYB making some extra money.:(
Bad hips, elbows, torn cruciate, etc. are expensive to fix.

We named her Luna short for lunatic because when we got her home she was out of control, food aggressive, and just all around crazy!
It took a few days to get her to change her mindset and for her to learn some discipline and boundaries, but my wife and I worked (and still work) with her constantly so she can be the amazing member of our family that she is.
We really lucked out with her…my wife wanted another female, without a docked tail and that’s what I found. I have since been able to contact the breeder who was super nice, I’m sure we will be in touch with her in the future!

Thank you!
We were posting at the same time! haha…we do have insurance on her, and like I said in my post, I was able to contact the breeder. We spoke and texted pictures. I was able to see Luna’s parents, where they live, etc. I told you we lucked out, for a thousand dollars we got an awesome Rottweiler!
