Hi, I'm having a problem with my older rott. His name is Panson he'll be 5 years old in june. Well last year we mated him and kept one of his puppies, lately he has been taking the 8 month old puppies bones, toys and also eats his food. I don't know how to stop him from doing these things to his son. Is he just jealous or dose he just dislike Him?

Some times it is hard to have two of the same sex living in the same house hold.He could just be reminding the little guy who is in charge.Hopfully they are both neutered now.as that should help to stop the problem(no testosterone).

I would say he showing him who's boss . do you have feeding times or do you have food in the bowl all the time? I have 4rottiesand with the toys I just buy 4 of them
they are just like kids if one has it the other one wants it !!!

Yeah, it could be a case of the jealous green eyed monster rearing it's head or like Donna said he's just letting him know who's in charge. I have two rotts but they are oppisite sexes and even though Bud is the oldest and been here the longest, Diamond as she is getting older is becoming the more dominant one when it comes to the toys and bones around here. I personally think Bud is just more mellow and calm about it. He lets her have her way most times, but when it is important he lets her know who's the real boss with them.
