While walking in the woods with the dogs I discovered this little guy. Not sure what kind of an owl this is. Had to have my husband keep the dogs away so I could take this picture.

wow. great pic. i bet that there are some birdwatchers out there who would be jealous. every spring a whole ton of them come to my area to photograph this tiny horned owl that lives around here. they have cameras that are worth thousands of dollars in some cases.

i love owls!! is he an eagle owl? we have owls here, and i always see one by the stables, i guess cuz of the mice population, its light brown and white underneath, it is gorgeous, when i first got the dogs it circled us 3 times before flying away, i actually thought it would pick up one of the dogs! lol, i guess if i had a chiwawa, it would have, we named it owl lol!
