Hi, we have a 5 month boy, fairly good in all aspects of training, however after a walk the minute I鈥檓 5 meters from the house he starts to tackle and chew my leg, not aggressively, all play but I have to stand still for him to stop, difficult when crossing the road! 馃槀

You can try treats to get him off this habit. The longer you allow this the harder it will be to stop him. Moose is our 5th Rotti and we got a very good trainer for the first time. He is almost perfect lol.

If it's consistent you could start getting him doing a wee bit of obedience a little further out to try avoid the attempt at play. Start a heel and try get to the door before you let him out of it?!

Vader does similar jumping a biting his lead when I've decided it's time to stop play and head home and he disagrees!

Neb did this as a puppy - I think Agis did too?

Basically, we either ignored the behaviour and kept going - giving him no other option. That, or we'd calmly remove it from the mouth, and keep going. Eventually they got the message, didn't take too long.
