Sorry, I never even thought to look at where you are. Half Dome is a rock in Yosemite National Park in California that rises about 4500 feet from the valley floor. It is a tremendously popular climbing rock, to the point of being crowded. A few years ago, I was visiting the park on the east side, and from a lookout point, you could see the climbers on Half Dome. It looked like a trail of ants!

Sounds OVERcrowded to me. The place we went to today, we were the only ones there.

I would still like to visit Yosemite some day, just not at the tourist peak

It starts out quite easy, then gets fairly hard, then it looked impossible for the dog. But my friends said they had their dogs, off - leash, all the way to the top. There was one spot with rope to help you get up - that's where I turned around with the dog. There had to be another way up, I just didn't see it.

You're much more ambitious than I am. I'm a serious flatlander. A 1-mile mosey over to let Lizzie visit her horse friends and terrorize some chickens (actually, the chickens terrorize her, but don't tell her I told) and then I'm done . Ready to put my feet up with a glass of wine 🍷

It's -3 here this morning! :( Hard frost...the ground is white. Not great for May 18th...maybe it will kill off some of the blackflies??
