Once again I believe you are absolutely right Donna. Before I came to this site I would have believed some of those sites on the internet, but after seeing what you have had to say about the breed plus looking up additional information I now know there are people out there who will pitch a "unique rot" for money. I have even seen sites advertising "rare white rots", "red rotts" and so on. Mge 1 please listen to Donna, and the many wonderful people here-Bigger is not better, in fact oversized rotts are known for having health problems. And if breeders claim they are changing the standard of the rott to better the breed by trying to make them supposedly as they used to be thats someone who doesnt want a rott-they are out to make money with a gimmick. Those animals on the site were way oversized and I noticed it didn't show these dogs running, jumping, playing...they can't. Their too big, and the person who bred them that big and has a grown one knows they cant possibly do the things he claims. These poor animals will have hip and leg problems as well as who knows what else through their unresponsible breeding. Enjoy the rott for what he is, not something that has to be changed. Its the peoples perceptions that need to change of these wonderful creatures.
