I am not sure about this. Dally is watching her food bowl like it has legs and going to walk off. My male cat likes to drink & sometimes eat from her bowl. Dally has gottin where she runs him off from it. I have takin up her food for doing it, ever her water. But still does it. This has been going on for about 3 weeks. I don't like to pull up the water, it gets hot here fast and like to know they have water at all times. But this getting stupied. She has started laying by the food bowl so the cat can't get close to it.
I don't get this behavoir for her. And with us looking at shelters for a older running buddy. this is not a behaviorI want her to have.

Daphney had a stuffed baby in her box after her first pregnancy produced nothing and she guarded that toy for weeks, and I even had to take it to the Vet when she went in for her check up.

It was funny she carried it in the office and after they checked her over I had him examine the babies.she was pretty good about giving it to him but made sure he did not hurt it.Then she carried it out and put it in the crate in the van.I had to take it out side when she went out(since she waould not leave her box). After a few weeks she stoped and now it's back to being just a toy.

I have water bowls in ever room of the house, except bathroom. She will share the other bowls just not hers. Dally has a raised feed and water bowl.No she is not fixed yet. Vet said something to the fact of letting her hormons get back to normal first. But she will be fixed. Most the time she has fedding times, but sense she got sick she eats when she is hungy.

I have been making Dally eat outside. She lets me know she does not like it, but she eat there or not at all. I do not like her jumping at the cats, she knows better. Till she can chill out some, her eating is outside only.
