I remember when dobermans were the hated breed of choice when they were popular. Popularity of a breed does nothing for its reputation. The most popular breeds are the ones that gettalked about the most, and bashed it seems to me. Now that Rottweilers have come into their own, the same is happening to them. Many people who have never owned a rott are behind this. It is the ignorance of these people that give the rott a bad name, as well as irresponsible owners. They pass judgement on our gentle giants without any real facts. They see a dog of impressive size and believe him to be a brute. I have never known a rott that has been vicious when properly raised and cared for.</BLOCKQUOTE>
