I have a rotty that is about 4 years old and 3-4 weeks ago he started throwing up. Not really at any certain time. It is normally just a yellow liquid (maybe acid?). Sometimes he does not want to eat and other times he eats fine. He throws up at least once a day. He is still very active and happy other than the throwing up. I thought about getting him some stomach acid tablets to see if that would help but did not know if it could be something worse. He has not lost any weight, still drinks water but not excessively. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Zeusdarotty ,I have 4 rotts and if one my dogs started throwing up at least once a day (not a normal routine)I would be taking my dog to a vet to see what was wrong ( and not guessing ). Its better to be safe then sorry . Just my opinion

Zeusdarotty,

A common cause of vomiting bile (clearish yellow) is an empty stomach. My puppy would do this during the night, so we now give her a treat before bed.

However, youshould call your vet to be sure.

Yeah you really should call the vet. It is always better to be safe than sorry especially when it comes to our big furry babies. Hey if it's nothing then you know it and can go on from there.
